(KJV) <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Here Paul says that we are not to be like children in our understanding. (1 Corinthians 14:20) In the Torah, there are passages that convey a similar message of seeking wisdom and maturity in understanding. For example, in Deuteronomy 4:6 we are instructed on the importance of wisdom and understanding in following God&#8217;s commandments. In Deuteronomy 6:6-7 we are instructed on the importance of diligently teaching and understanding God&#8217;s commandments to our family. In addition, in the Tanakh we read in Proverbs 4:7 <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>&#8220;The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom, and whatever you get, get insight.&#8221;<\/em><\/span> These passages from the Torah parallel the message in 1 Corinthians 14:20 by encouraging believers to seek wisdom and maturity in their understanding while maintaining innocence regarding evil.
