The concept of Teshuvah, is translated as “repentance,” and is a fundamental idea in the Torah. The Hebrew word “Teshuvah” actually means “returning,” signifying a return to the original state. This concept is deeply rooted in the Torah and Jewish tradition. One of the Hebrew words for sin is “chet,” which means “to go astray.” Thus, the idea of repentance in Jewish thought is a return to the path of righteousness. Teshuvah is not about feeling regret, guilt, or shame. Instead, it’s about returning to one’s true state of righteousness. Here, the author of the book of Acts is emphasizing the need for Teshuvah just as the Torah and Jewish tradition specify. This is necessary for our sins to be wiped away and as the scripture states, so the presence of the Lord may come into our lives. The NT text emphasizes these things demonstrating how the Torah is relevant for us today as God’s people. The Torah has not passed away!

https://www.matsati.com/index.php/category/bits-of-torah-truths/

Bits of Torah Truths – Torah Concept in the NT: Perform Teshuva – Episode 246 #torah #torahwisdom #torahtruth #torahforlife #torah4you #torahtruth Acts 3:19 יט לָכֵן הִתְחָרְטוּ וְשׁוּבוּ בִּתְשׁוּבָה כְּדֵי שֶׁיִּמָּחוּ חֲטָאֵיכֶם, Acts 3:19 3:19 “Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from […]

[48,34

0":"post-21517","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-bits-of-torah-truths","8":"category-video
["GET
