While the specific phrase <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201csober-minded\u201d<\/em><\/span> may not appear verbatim in the Torah, there are related concepts that encourage young men to exhibit self-control, wisdom, and seriousness. The Torah emphasizes the importance of wisdom and seriousness in life, for example, Joseph resisted temptation when Potiphar\u2019s wife tried to seduce him (Genesis 39) and David showed wisdom and restraint when he spared King Saul\u2019s life (1 Samuel 24). Young men are to seek wisdom, learn from their elders, and approach life with seriousness. This includes making thoughtful decisions and considering the long-term consequences of our actions. The Torah provides timeless principles for young men concerning self-control, wisdom, and seriousness. These principles guide character development and conduct in accordance with God\u2019s teachings.
