You shall teach them diligently to your children and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.\u201d<\/em><\/span> This emphasizes attentiveness and sobriety in understanding and applying God\u2019s teachings. Concerning prayer, in Exodus 12:42, the during the Passover night, we are called to be spiritually vigilant, waiting for God\u2019s guidance and redemption and to pray. Prayer is our communication with the Lord, expressing our dependence and seeking His will.
