The Torah, which is the foundational text of the Bible, contains various commandments that guide moral and ethical behavior, including those related to personal conduct and desires. While the term <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><em>\u201cfleshly lusts\u201d<\/em><\/span> is more commonly associated with NT writings, such as 1 Peter 2:11, the Torah does address the concept of controlling one\u2019s desires and urges. For instance, the Torah has numerous laws that regulate sexual behavior, emphasizing the importance of family purity and marital fidelity. Leviticus chapters 18 and 20 detail prohibited sexual relationships and activities, which can be seen as a directive to avoid illicit desires that could lead to such behaviors.
