(NASB)

Here in James 4:6 he quotes a Torah centric principle from Proverbs 3:34. We note how it says that God opposes the proud and gives grace and mercy to the humble. This parallels the lowly, and the concept that we are not to take advantage of the widow or the fatherless like we read in Exodus 22:22-24. The parallel lies in the theme of God’s response to pride and mistreatment of the vulnerable. In James God opposes the proud but extends grace to the humble. In Exodus, God warns against mistreating widows and fatherless children. If someone takes advantage of them and they cry out to God, He promises to hear their cry and respond with justice. Both passages emphasize God’s care for the lowly, His opposition to pride, and His commitment to defending those who are marginalized reveals how the Torah has not passed away!

https://www.matsati.com/index.php/category/bits-of-torah-truths/

Bits of Torah Truths – The NT Emphasizes the Torah concept of God caring for the Lowly – Episode 177 #torah #Torah #torahwisdom #torahtruth #torahforlife #torah4you #TorahTruths James 4:6 ו וְאוּלָם נוֹתֵן הוּא יֶתֶר חֵן. לָכֵן הַכָּתוּב אוֹמֵר ״אֱלֹהִים לַלֵּצִים הוּא–יָלִיץ וְלַעֲנָוִים יִתֶּן–חֵן.״ (משלי ג׳ לד׳) James 4:6 6 But He gives a greater grace.
