(NASB) <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The Apostle James wrote according to James 1:22-24 to be a doer of the Word and not just a hearer. We note that there are many verses in the Torah that emphasize the importance of following God&#8217;s commandments and not just hearing them: Deuteronomy 6:4-9, Leviticus 18:5, Exodus 19:5-6, Numbers 15:39-40. These verses, among others, emphasize the importance of not only hearing God&#8217;s word but doing \/ obeying and following them.
