(NASB) <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Here in Hebrews 11:5 the author of Hebrews quotes from Genesis 5:24 in regards to Enoch and being taken from this earth because of his righteousness being pleasing before God. These things illustrate how righteousness according to the Torah has great value. The idea here is NOT about our righteousness meriting salvation, but that there is great value living righteously for peace and truth and most of all for the glory of God.
