In Parashat Vayera (Bereshit \/ Genesis 18:17-19<\/em>) Abraham shared a meal with three men (\u05e9\u05c1\u05b0\u05dc\u05b9\u05e9\u05c1\u05b8\u05d4 \u05d0\u05b2\u05e0\u05b8\u05e9\u05c1\u05b4\u05d9\u05dd<\/span>).\u00a0 During the meal it was prophesied that Abraham’s wife Sarah would bear a child at an old age.\u00a0 Following the meal,\u00a0two of the messengers\u00a0began their journey to Sodom to see if their sin was as great as had been reported.\u00a0 Abraham stood with the Lord and discussed the future of Sodom and Gemorah.\u00a0 Before the Lord\u00a0told Abraham what He was about to do, He declared an interesting word concerning Abraham’s future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sefer Bereshit \/ Genesis Chapter 18<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

<\/em>18:17 The Lord said, \u2018Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do, 18:18 since Abraham will surely become a great and mighty nation, and in him all the nations of the earth will be blessed? 18:19 \u2018For I have chosen him, so that he may command his children and his household after him to keep the way of the Lord by doing righteousness and justice, so that the Lord may bring upon Abraham what He has spoken about him.\u2019 (NASB)<\/span><\/em><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

The Lord God Almighty said “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do?”\u00a0<\/em> The Lord declared that Abraham will become a great and mighty nation, and that he will command his children to obey the Lord and keep the way of God by living in righteousness and justice.\u00a0 The Lord then said that He will bring upon Abraham all of what He has spoken about him.<\/p>\n

Looking forward to the future of what was going to be, the Lord treated the promises that He had made, and the blessing to be a present day reality for Abraham.\u00a0 The promises that the Lord had made of the future seed and blessing was present even as Abraham walked here on earth.\u00a0 In a similar manner, thousands of years later, we who look to the past of all what the Lord God had done, promised, and fulfilled in Yeshua the Messiah, all of these things are a present day reality for us today.\u00a0 Our atonement was made in the blood of the Messiah, the living Word of God!\u00a0 In Abraham’s day, the Lord declared the present day reality of His promises to him.\u00a0 Today, the Lord has declared the present day reality of our salvation that is found in Yeshua the Messiah!\u00a0 Praise the Lord for such a great and wonderful salvation!<\/p>\n
