\nThe style, color, and materials that go into the construction of the priestly garments are rich with significance
\nand can be described as garments of glory and beauty. Shemot \/ Exodus<\/em>
\n39:3 <\/em><\/font>says Then they hammered out gold sheets and cut them into
\nthreads to be woven in with the blue and the purple and the scarlet material, and the fine linen, the work of a
\nskillful workman. (NASB)<\/em><\/font> This is particularly interesting since gold is a yellow precious metal
\nthat has been known and used as a monetary medium throughout history. The construction of the garments with
\nthe use of gold threads provides us with an inherent preciousness and value in the role of the Cohen HaGadol
\n(Hight Priest). In addition to this, Shemot \/ Exodus<\/em><\/font> says
\n“… petilim lasot betoch hatchelet u’btoch
\nhaargaman u’vtoch tolaat hashaniy u’vtoch hashesh maaseh khoshev”<\/font><\/em> the use of
\nthe Hebrew word “betoch” (and “u’vetoch”) meaning “in the midst
\nof”<\/em> indicates that the golden threads are to be intertwined with a three cord thread of blue,
\npurple and scarlet material. I believe there is a spiritual significance of incorporating the golden
\nthread into the priestly garments that speaks of our relationship with God and Yeshua’s role as savior
\nand king.
