{"id":1117,"date":"2011-08-07T13:21:00","date_gmt":"2011-08-07T13:21:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.matsati.com\/bblog2\/client\/index.cfm\/2011\/8\/7\/Parashat-Vaetchanan-A-way-of-life-for-a-people-already-redeemed"},"modified":"2012-09-26T19:36:14","modified_gmt":"2012-09-26T19:36:14","slug":"parashat-vaetchanan-a-way-of-life-for-a-people-already-redeemed-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.matsati.com\/index.php\/parashat-vaetchanan-a-way-of-life-for-a-people-already-redeemed-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Parashat Va\u2019etchanan, A way of life for a people already redeemed!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><!-- Place some text here to wrap near image --><\/p>\n<p>This week\u2019s reading from sefer Devarim (<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>Devarim \/ Deuteronomy 3:23-7:11<\/em><\/span>) Parashat Va\u2019etchanan, Moshe is recapitulating (summarizing and restating) the main points during Yisrael\u2019s journey from Mitzrayim to their present location (Beth Peor).\u00a0 Moshe requested to enter the Promised Land but God said to go to the top of Pisgah (a mountain summit in Moab) to see the land with his eyes only.\u00a0 These Scriptures again and again show us how God has defined who He is by what He has done for His people.\u00a0 <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>Devarim 5:3<\/em><\/span> states that <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>\u05dc\u05b9\u05d0 \u05d0\u05b6\u05ea-\u05d0\u05b2\u05d1\u05b9\u05ea\u05b5\u05d9\u05e0\u05d5\u05bc \u05db\u05bc\u05b8\u05e8\u05b7\u05ea \u05d9\u05b0\u05d4\u05d5\u05b9\u05b8\u05d4 \u05d0\u05b6\u05ea-\u05d4\u05b7\u05d1\u05bc\u05b0\u05e8\u05b4\u05d9\u05ea \u05d4\u05b7\u05d6\u05bc\u05b9\u05d0\u05ea \u05db\u05bc\u05b4\u05d9 \u05d0\u05b4\u05ea\u05bc\u05b8\u05e0\u05d5\u05bc \u05d0\u05b2\u05e0\u05b7\u05d7\u05b0\u05e0\u05d5\u05bc \u05d0\u05b5\u05dc\u05bc\u05b6\u05d4 \u05e4\u05b9\u05d4 \u05d4\u05b7\u05d9\u05bc\u05d5\u05b9\u05dd \u05db\u05bc\u05bb\u05dc\u05bc\u05b8\u05e0\u05d5\u05bc \u05d7\u05b7\u05d9\u05bc\u05b4\u05d9\u05dd<\/em><\/span> meaning <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>5:3 \u2018The Lord did not make this covenant with our fathers, but with us, with all those of us alive here today.
