style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>Bereshit \/ Genesis 23:1-25:18<\/em><\/span>) can be outlined as follows, (i) Sarah Avraham\u2019s wife dies and is buried (<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>Bereshit 23:1-3<\/em><\/span>), (ii) Avraham bargains for a piece of land from the sons of Heth to bury his wife (<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>Bereshit 23:4-20<\/em><\/span>), (iii) Avraham sends his servant to find a wife for Yitzchak (Isaac) (<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>Bereshit 24:1-4<\/em><\/span>), (iv) Avraham\u2019s servant Eleazar meets Rebecca at the watering spring (<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>Bereshit 24:11-21<\/em><\/span>), (v) Avraham marries Keturah (<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>Bereshit 25:1-6<\/em><\/span>), and (vi) Abraham dies (<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>Bereshit 25:7-8<\/em><\/span>).\u00a0 In this week\u2019s portion we read how Avraham acted righteously before the people living in Eretz Yisrael, by acting honestly to purchase a piece of land in order to bury his wife.\u00a0 We also read how Eleazar (<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">\u05d0\u05b1\u05dc\u05b4\u05d9\u05e2\u05b6\u05d6\u05b6\u05e8<\/span>, note that we first read his name in <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>Bereshit \/ Genesis 15:2<\/em><\/span>) had great faith in the God of Abraham to help him in his task to find a wife for Yitzchak (Isaac).\u00a0 The name <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">\u05d0\u05b1\u05dc\u05b4\u05d9\u05e2\u05b6\u05d6\u05b6\u05e8 <\/span>consists of two words, <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">\u05d0\u05b1\u05dc\u05b4\u05d9 <\/span>meaning \u201cmy God\u201d and <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">\u05e2\u05b6\u05d6\u05b6\u05e8 <\/span>meaning \u201chelps.\u201d\u00a0 So Eleazar literally means <em>\u201cmy God helps.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0 Eleazar realized the importance of his name, the God of Abraham is awesome, mighty, and will help him in his task to find a wife for Yitzchak.\u00a0 Therefore, Eleazar prays saying <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>\u05d4\u05b4\u05e0\u05bc\u05b5\u05d4 \u05d0\u05b8\u05e0\u05b9\u05db\u05b4\u05d9 \u05e0\u05b4\u05e6\u05bc\u05b8\u05d1 \u05e2\u05b7\u05dc-\u05e2\u05b5\u05d9\u05df \u05d4\u05b7\u05de\u05bc\u05b8\u05d9\u05b4\u05dd \u05d5\u05b0\u05d4\u05b8\u05d9\u05b8\u05d4 \u05d4\u05b8\u05e2\u05b7\u05dc\u05b0\u05de\u05b8\u05d4 \u05d4\u05b7\u05d9\u05bc\u05b9\u05e6\u05b5\u05d0\u05ea \u05dc\u05b4\u05e9\u05c1\u05b0\u05d0\u05b9\u05d1 \u05d5\u05b0\u05d0\u05b8\u05de\u05b7\u05e8\u05b0\u05ea\u05bc\u05b4\u05d9 \u05d0\u05b5\u05dc\u05b6\u05d9\u05d4\u05b8 \u05d4\u05b7\u05e9\u05c1\u05b0\u05e7\u05b4\u05d9\u05e0\u05b4\u05d9-\u05e0\u05b8\u05d0 \u05de\u05b0\u05e2\u05b7\u05d8-\u05de\u05b7\u05d9\u05b4\u05dd \u05de\u05b4\u05db\u05bc\u05b7\u05d3\u05bc\u05b5\u05da\u05b0<\/em><\/span> <em>\u201c<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">behold, I am standing by the spring, and may it be that the maiden who comes out to draw, and to whom I say, \u2018Please let me drink a little water from your jar\u2019;\u201d<\/span><\/em> in <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>Bereshit \/ Genesis 24:43<\/em><\/span> As a result, God prepared the minds and lives of those involved for the selection of Yitzchak\u2019s wife and allowed everything to occur in the proper order so that Eleazar would know that he had found God\u2019s choice for a wife.\u00a0 This happens today too, for those who trust and obey God. \u00a0The Lord prepares the way for each of us to do the tasks that He has for us to do for Him.\u00a0 Eleazar fell back upon God\u2019s promise in <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>Bereshit 24:42<\/em><\/span> (<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>\u05de\u05d1\u00a0\u00a0 \u05d5\u05b8\u05d0\u05b8\u05d1\u05b9\u05d0 \u05d4\u05b7\u05d9\u05bc\u05d5\u05b9\u05dd \u05d0\u05b6\u05dc-\u05d4\u05b8\u05e2\u05b8\u05d9\u05b4\u05df \u05d5\u05b8\u05d0\u05b9\u05de\u05b7\u05e8 \u05d9\u05b0\u05d4\u05d5\u05b9\u05b8\u05d4 \u05d0\u05b1\u05dc\u05b9\u05d4\u05b5\u05d9 \u05d0\u05b2\u05d3\u05b9\u05e0\u05b4\u05d9 \u05d0\u05b7\u05d1\u05b0\u05e8\u05b8\u05d4\u05b8\u05dd \u05d0\u05b4\u05dd-\u05d9\u05b6\u05e9\u05c1\u05b0\u05da\u05b8-\u05e0\u05bc\u05b8\u05d0 \u05de\u05b7\u05e6\u05b0\u05dc\u05b4\u05d9\u05d7\u05b7 \u05d3\u05bc\u05b7\u05e8\u05b0\u05db\u05bc\u05b4\u05d9
