Yaakov wrestles with a man (<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>32:24<\/em><\/span>) and realizes that he has seen God face to face and lived (<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>32:25-31<\/em><\/span>).&nbsp; Yaakov and Esav meet (<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>33:1-16<\/em><\/span>) and Esav returns to his place in Seir and Yaakov travels to Shechem. &nbsp;Yaakov buys the piece of land before the city of Shechem (<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>33:19<\/em><\/span>) and Yaakov&rsquo;s daughter Dina is raped according to verse <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>34:2<\/em> <em>\u05d5\u05b7\u05d9\u05bc\u05b4\u05e9\u05c1\u05b0\u05db\u05bc\u05b7\u05d1 \u05d0\u05b9\u05ea\u05b8\u05d4\u05bc \u05d5\u05b7\u05d9\u05b0\u05e2\u05b7\u05e0\u05bc\u05b6\u05d4<\/em><\/span>, Shechem the son of Hamor the Hivite took her by force (against her will).&nbsp; Yaakov&rsquo;s sons deceive the people of Shechem (<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>34:5-24<\/em><\/span>), and Simeon and Levi take their swords and kill every male in the city while they were in pain from circumcision (<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>34:25-33<\/em><\/span>).&nbsp; God instructs Yaakov to go to Bethel and dwell there (<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>35:1<\/em><\/span>).&nbsp; The Lord appears to Yaakov again and confirms his name change from Yaakov to Yisrael and blesses Yaakov (<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>35:9-15<\/em><\/span>).&nbsp; Traveling to Bethel, Rachael gives birth and dies (<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>35:16-19<\/em><\/span>).&nbsp; Yitzchak (Isaac) lives to 180 years old and dies and is buried (<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>35:28-29<\/em><\/span>).&nbsp; The Parashah ends with Esav, the land cannot sustain the flocks of both Yaakov and Esav, so Esav moves his family and all that he owns away from Yaakov (<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>36:1-43<\/em><\/span>).&nbsp; The opening verses of Parashat Vayishlach reveal to us that at this point in Yaakov&rsquo;s life there is a major turning point.&nbsp; Yaakov realizes that encountering Esav is inevitable when he returns to Canaan and prepares for meeting his brother.&nbsp; Yaakov calls out to the Lord saying <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>\u05e7\u05b8\u05d8\u05b9\u05e0\u05b0\u05ea\u05bc\u05b4\u05d9 \u05de\u05b4\u05db\u05bc\u05b9\u05dc \u05d4\u05b7\u05d7\u05b2\u05e1\u05b8\u05d3\u05b4\u05d9\u05dd \u05d5\u05bc\u05de\u05b4\u05db\u05bc\u05b8\u05dc-\u05d4\u05b8\u05d0\u05b1\u05de\u05b6\u05ea \u05d0\u05b2\u05e9\u05c1\u05b6\u05e8 \u05e2\u05b8\u05e9\u05b4\u05b9\u05d9\u05ea\u05b8 \u05d0\u05b6\u05ea-\u05e2\u05b7\u05d1\u05b0\u05d3\u05bc\u05b6\u05da\u05b8 \u05db\u05bc\u05b4\u05d9 \u05d1\u05b0\u05de\u05b7\u05e7\u05b0\u05dc\u05b4\u05d9 \u05e2\u05b8\u05d1\u05b7\u05e8\u05b0\u05ea\u05bc\u05b4\u05d9 \u05d0\u05b6\u05ea-\u05d4\u05b7\u05d9\u05bc\u05b7\u05e8\u05b0\u05d3\u05bc\u05b5\u05df \u05d4\u05b7\u05d6\u05bc\u05b6\u05d4 \u05d5\u05b0\u05e2\u05b7\u05ea\u05bc\u05b8\u05d4 \u05d4\u05b8\u05d9\u05b4\u05d9\u05ea\u05b4\u05d9 \u05dc\u05b4\u05e9\u05c1\u05b0\u05e0\u05b5\u05d9 \u05de\u05b7\u05d7\u05b2\u05e0\u05d5\u05b9\u05ea<\/em><\/span> that He is unworthy of God&rsquo;s grace and truth (<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>32:11<\/em><\/span>).&nbsp; Yaakov encounters God at Peniel (<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>\u05e4\u05bc\u05b0\u05e0\u05b4\u05d9\u05d0\u05b5\u05dc<\/em><\/span>) and sees God (<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>\u05db\u05bc\u05b4\u05d9-\u05e8\u05b8\u05d0\u05b4\u05d9\u05ea\u05b4\u05d9 \u05d0\u05b1\u05dc\u05b9\u05d4\u05b4\u05d9\u05dd \u05e4\u05bc\u05b8\u05e0\u05b4\u05d9\u05dd \u05d0\u05b6\u05dc-\u05e4\u05bc\u05b8\u05e0\u05b4\u05d9\u05dd<\/em><\/span>). &nbsp;God changes Yaakov&rsquo;s name to Yisrael and strikes his hip changing both who he is and the way he walks.&nbsp;
