{"id":1062,"date":"2012-07-29T14:08:00","date_gmt":"2012-07-29T14:08:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.matsati.com\/bblog2\/client\/index.cfm\/2012\/7\/29\/Parashat-Vaetchanan-A-way-of-life-for-a-people-already-redeemed"},"modified":"2012-09-29T16:26:40","modified_gmt":"2012-09-29T16:26:40","slug":"parashat-vaetchanan-a-way-of-life-for-a-people-already-redeemed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.matsati.com\/index.php\/parashat-vaetchanan-a-way-of-life-for-a-people-already-redeemed\/","title":{"rendered":"Parashat Va&#8217;etchanan, A way of life for a people already redeemed!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t<!-- Place some text here to wrap near image --><\/p>\n<p>This week&rsquo;s reading is from sefer Devarim (<font style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>Devarim \/ Deuteronomy 3:23-7:11<\/em><\/font>) Parashat Va&rsquo;etchanan, Moshe is recapitulating (summarizing and restating) the main points during Yisrael&rsquo;s journey from Mitzrayim to their present location (Beth Peor).&nbsp; Moshe requested to enter the Promised Land but God said to go to the top of Pisgah (a mountain summit in Moab) to see the land with his eyes only.&nbsp; The Scriptures again and again show us how God has defined who He is by what He has done for His people.&nbsp; <font style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>Devarim 5:3<\/em><\/font> states that <font style=\"color: #0000ff;\">\u05dc\u05b9\u05d0 \u05d0\u05b6\u05ea-\u05d0\u05b2\u05d1\u05b9\u05ea\u05b5\u05d9\u05e0\u05d5\u05bc \u05db\u05bc\u05b8\u05e8\u05b7\u05ea \u05d9\u05b0\u05d4\u05d5\u05b9\u05b8\u05d4 \u05d0\u05b6\u05ea-\u05d4\u05b7\u05d1\u05bc\u05b0\u05e8\u05b4\u05d9\u05ea \u05d4\u05b7\u05d6\u05bc\u05b9\u05d0\u05ea \u05db\u05bc\u05b4\u05d9 \u05d0\u05b4\u05ea\u05bc\u05b8\u05e0\u05d5\u05bc \u05d0\u05b2\u05e0\u05b7\u05d7\u05b0\u05e0\u05d5\u05bc \u05d0\u05b5\u05dc\u05bc\u05b6\u05d4 \u05e4\u05b9\u05d4 \u05d4\u05b7\u05d9\u05bc\u05d5\u05b9\u05dd \u05db\u05bc\u05bb\u05dc\u05bc\u05b8\u05e0\u05d5\u05bc \u05d7\u05b7\u05d9\u05bc\u05b4\u05d9\u05dd<\/font> meaning <font style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>5:3 &lsquo;The Lord did not make this covenant with our fathers, but with us, with all those of us alive here today.
