The Hebrew language should be the starting place for all who are involved in biblical studies. The advantage of learning the Hebrew language and mastering it first is this provides access to the Aramaic text (the Targumim) and to the Syriac translation of the Bible which includes an ancient translation of the NT the Peshitta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Syriac alphabet consists of the following letters, shown in their isolated (non-connected) forms. When isolated, the letters k\u0101p\u0304<\/i>, m\u012bm<\/i>, and m\u016bn<\/i> are usually shown with their initial form connected to their final form.
