About Me MATSATI

I am a a Spirit Filled, Blood Bought, Blood Washed, Born Again, Yeshua Loving, Fundamentalist, Charismatic, Bible Based, Zionist, Liberal-Theology hating, Gay-marriage despising, abortion-abhorring, Messianic Believer in Yeshua Hamoshiach the Creator, the One Who made the Universe in six literal days, approximately 6,000 years ago.

I have recently updated my website http://www.matsati.com/ and have decided to begin writing on the weekly Torah portion (May 2007).  Within the last year, I have felt the Lord’s leading to begin to write on the Torah portion.  After a lot of prayer and seeking the Lord on this, I felt it was necessary to redesign the website with this direction in mind.  I feel it is very important to look at the Torah and see what God has to say to us in relation to our living our lives and walk with Yeshua/Jesus.  After reading a book called “Yeshua, A guide to the real Jesus and the original church” by Dr. Ron Moseley, I found what the great bible preachers of the past have said about teaching the Torah.

The first example is Martin Luther.  Was Martin Luther the great reformer against the Torah? Though some arguments could be made against Martin Luther He said “The first duty of the gospel teacher is to declare God’s Torah and show the nature of sin, because it will act as a schoolmaster and bring him to everlasting life which is in Jesus Christ.”  John Wesley said, “Before I preach love, mercy, and grace, I must preach sin, Torah, and judgment.”  Wesley later advised a friend, “Preach 90 percent Torah and 10 percent grace.”  Charles Spurgeon, who is known as the Prince of Preachers, said “They will never accept grace until they tremble before a just and holy Torah.”  Charles Finney, who is purported as to have had an 80 percent success rate in his minister said, “Evermore the Torah must prepare the way for the gospel; to overlook this in instructing souls is almost certain to result in false hope, the introduction of a false standard of Christian experience, and to fill the church with false converts.”  John Wycliffe, the Morning Start of the Reformation, said, “The highest service to which a man may attain on earth is to preach the Torah of God.”  D. L. Moody, who is credited with making more than a million disciples for the Lord, put it in perspective when he said, “God being a perfect God, had to give a perfect Torah, and the Torah was given not to save men, but to measure them.”

Clearly these great Gospel preachers understood a primary purpose of the Torah.  The apostle Paul believed this, and explains it with examples from those who were Judaizers in the book of Galatians.

So, while writing what I feel the Lord lays upon my heart about the Torah portion, I hope to be able to tie in our relationship with Yeshua, and the importance of the Torah for our lives.
