THE BIBLE

1) God is many!

  Polytheistic religion, but they only focus upon one god at a time.

1) God is one!

  “This is what the lord Almighty says … I am the first and the last; There is no other God.” Isaiah44:6

2) Trinity:  three separate gods.

2) Trinity:  God is a triune being.

  Sixty times in the bible God the Father/Son/Holy Spirit are all working together.

3) God is a glorified man.

  They teach each of us are gods and will evolve into a god. (ie. Spirit babies are how we started out.)

3) God is not a man.

“God is not a man, that he should lie.  He is not a human, that he should change his mind!” Numbers 23:19

  “I am God, and not a man.” Hosea11:9

  “I am the Lord, and I do not change.” Malachi 3:6

4) God is made of flesh and bones.

4) God is a spirit

  “God is a Spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” John4:24

5) People can become god.

5) People can become members of the kingdom of God.

  “… believe me and understand that I am he.  Before me there was no God formed and there will be none after me.” Isaiah 43:10

6) God engages in celestial sex.

6) There is no sex in Heaven.

  “Jesus replied, ‘You are in error because you do not know the scriptures or the power of God.  At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven.’” Matthew 22:29-30

7) Jesus is the Brother of Satan.

7) Jesus is the one and only Son.

  “This is how God showed us his love among us:  He sent his one and only son into the world that we might live through him.” 1john 4:9

8) Jesus was conceived through physical sex.

  “How will this be, Mary asked the angel, ‘since I am a virgin?’  The angel answered, The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you.  So the holy one to be born will be called the son of God.” Luke 1:34-35

9) Jesus was married.

  “ Mormons believe jesus was married at the wedding in Cana in Galilee.”

9) Jesus was not the groom.

“Jesus and his disciples were also invited to the celebration.” John2:2

  The groom of a wedding is not invited to his own wedding celebration!

10) Christ’s sacrifice was not sufficient.

10) Christ’s sacrifice is sufficient.

“…the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.” 1 John 1:7

“In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:” Col. 1:14

11) Salvation isn’t by faith alone.

11) Salvation is a free gift.

  “All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name.” Acts10:43

12) People get a second chance.

12) People don’t get a second chance.

  “Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment.” Hebrews 9:27
